The consortium of the DASS project is pleased to share with the youth workers Europe-wide its last creation: DASS Booklet. The Booklet is thought to be a practical guide and a handy tool for youth workers to assist young people in regaining a mental and physical equilibrium and tackling distress and emotions that makes you feel bad through the therapeutic effect of art and creativity.

The main contents of the Booklet are two sets of activities that are comprised of Workshops with detailed instructions on how to implement them with young people.

The first set of Activities is the “Online Workshops” which can be implemented both virtually and physically, and they each explore different types of art and how these can help youth express their emotions. The second set of Activities is the “Face to Face Dance Workshops” which includes video tutorials with dance and movement activities conceived to release stress.

In addition, the consortium provides useful tips and feedback from their personal experience on implementing the workshops, that will guide youth workers through the procedure and guarantee a successful implementation. Furthermore, within the manual’s annex youth workers will have access to the research on the use of dance, art, and social media to empower and support youth facing uncertainty and mental health challenges due to COVID-19, the statistical need analysis conducted post covid among 150 young people who suffered from stress.

The DASS Booklet is available in the 6 languages of the partnership (English, French, Italian, Greek, Lithuanian, and Polish) and freely downloadable here.
